About DDO
What started as a humble idea for "a school fair that could also include the wider community" has blossomed into a favourite annual event for adults and children from the St John's family as well as the Dennington, Warrnambool and surrounding communities.
Beginning in 2013 and hosted at St John's Primary School, Dennington's Day Out brings together the local community by providing great entertainment, amusements, food and market stalls while helping raise funds for community groups in the area. |
Who We Are |
The DDO Committee is a team of St John's parents, friends and staff who meet almost year round in preparation for the event. Compiling sponsorship packs, collecting donations, approaching stall holders, entertainment, food vendors, ensuring ample security and safety measures and planning out the schedule and layout of the day is no small feat and the committee should be commended for their dedication to this amazing event.

Our History |
In late 2012, word started getting around the school that St John's was looking at holding "some kind of fair" the following year. With founding chairperson Amy Atwell at the helm, the 2013 Dennington's Day Out was born and in November came to fruition with unbelievable success and an amazing turn out. Just weeks later, the committee met again and started to plan how to make 2014 even better. The rest is history.
