Rain, Hail or Shine.... or Gale Force Winds, DDO brings it!
Monday November 14, 2016
What an amazing day we all had on Sunday the 13th of November 2016 at our 4th year of Dennington's Day Out.
No matter the weather, the team behind DDO has proven they can put on a stellar day! It was a wet and windy day there's no denying that! The wet weather plan was put into action and executed with perfection! Despite the unavoidable cancellation of a couple of rides, (we didn't want anyone blowing away or getting hurt!) children from all over the region were still able to jump, ride, hover-car and chair-o-plane all the way until closing time.
The market stalls were a huge success; there was arts and crafts, face painting, makeovers, showbags and everyone enjoyed relaxing with some delicious lunch while enjoying the days entertainment.
Huge congratulations to all of the competitors in the Great South West Spelling Bee. It was fantastic to see students from as far as Grassmere and Port Fairy come along to take part.
Finally, thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, to all our sponsors, stall holders, vendors, entertainment providers and to the parents, teachers and friends who helped put it all together. DDO is nothing without community support and the success of this years event shows that even under unfavourable weather conditions our community is awesome and should be congratulated. Thank you!
